Bedforshire School Targetted by local youths
Hawthorn Park Lower School in Houghton Regis, Bedfordshire, recently engaged Window & Door Security Systems Ltd to protect a vulnerable elevation of windows, which had become the target of local kids with BB guns and other projectiles.
As well as the cost of replacing the broken windows, the head teacher had to consider the disruption to classes and the potential hazard of broken glass that got everywhere including the sandpits, which had to be completely replaced.
An installation of Security ShieldTM Vandal took approximately one hour and was carried out discreetly before first break time. The shields were stood away from the windows slightly to overcome a minor projection, and were completely unobtrusive from both inside and out.
