The Sky really is the limit !
No application is beyond the remit of the design team at Window & Door Security Systems Ltd. When Bedford Council suffered repeated damage to skylights serving a new flagship development, they realised that traditional forms of glass protection would only serve to transform the premeses into a prison or fortress.

The main threat came from stones and bricks being thrown from a nearby housing estate by disaffected youths whose only motive was to cause damage. Conventional shutters or gates could not effectively be adapted to the unusual shapes and attitudes of skylights, nor could they protect the glazing from flying projectiles whilst remaining in place without having to be opened and closed.
Already called in to fit Security Shield Intruder™ to all ground and first floor windows, Window & Door Security Systems Ltd adapted their perforated mesh system to the skylight frame.
The result was a neat, unobtrusive and cost effective solution, giving the facilities manager and building occupants piece of mind, and which allowed in excess of 80% of natural light into the building.
